New Delhi, India – May 11, 2025 – Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF), the world’s first gaming monitor featuring an astonishing 500Hz refresh rate with an OLED panel. This groundbreaking 27-inch monitor is designed for competitive gamers seeking the ultimate in smooth visuals and instantaneous response times.
The Odyssey OLED G6 boasts a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, delivering sharp and detailed images. Its most impressive feature is the incredibly high 500Hz refresh rate, which aims to provide unparalleled motion clarity, significantly reducing motion blur and allowing gamers to react faster in fast-paced games. Complementing this rapid refresh rate is a remarkable 0.03ms (grey-to-grey) response time, ensuring minimal latency and ghosting for a truly fluid gaming experience.
Samsung has incorporated its advanced QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) technology into the G6. This technology combines the deep blacks and exceptional contrast of OLED with the vibrant and accurate color reproduction of quantum dots, resulting in stunning and lifelike visuals. The monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, capable of displaying deep blacks and bright whites with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The monitor also features OLED Safeguard+ technology, which includes a dynamic cooling system utilizing a heat pipe to dissipate heat efficiently, and an internal thermal modulation system that automatically adjusts brightness to prevent OLED burn-in.
